I’m using AVD and PrinterLogic which has printers for my building. I install the print driver and try to print but I can’t log onto the printer…meaning I enter my CAC and enter my PIN, but it isn’t accepted. I’ve tried several printers with the same issue. I’m guessing I need a ARnet account? Is it possible for the network printer to use the A365 info?

I use the web version on my Linux machines , you have to add the DOD certs to your browser and setup your cac card reader in order for it to work. instructions for that are here: https://public.cyber.mil/pki-pke/end-users/getting-started/linux/

For the past few days, I’ve had issues using my CAC certs specifically only on AVD. When attempting to log into iPerms, IPPS-A, GCSS-A, MyPay, etc…it’ll load the Smart Card window to show the CAC is ready to us, then when you click OK…it takes a minute before opening again and doing the same thing. This also happens when I attempt to sign documents in Adobe Acrobat. This is all on the Virginia server, on the Arizona server I get logged all the way in then it tells me the following: “Status: 0x00000000, Message: Success; Reason: 0x00000007, Message: Profile is a Windows temporary profile; Error code: 0x80090024, Message: The profile for hte user is a temporary profile.; Computer Name: [REDACTED]“. Note that AVD lets me log onto my account on the Virginia Server, and lets me use Outlook and the 365 suite, and my CAC works on websites on my normal desktop without any issues. Is there a fix for this or a timeframe that I’ll be able to use AVD for work again?

Having issues getting AVD to work on MAC. I keep getting prompted for me to provide access to my private key chain rather than entering my pin – not sure if my posts are actually being recorded here either.

Hey Lisa! Sorry for the delayed response; we can’t directly offer support here. The best way to resolve this would either be through the Azure Virtual Desktop Team at https://go.mil/ArmyAVD or through the Army Enterprise Service Management Portal (AKA the old Enterprise Service Desk) at https://www.aesmp.army.mil/. If there’s any other way we can try to guide you let us know!

Lisa I was able to get it to work on my 2023 MacBook Air. There are specific Mac instructions. see the following link. https://armyeitaas.sharepoint-mil.us/teams/army365-avd-onboarding/SitePages/AVD-Setup-Instructions.aspx. The most important part is to “Make sure that smart card redirection is enabled in the Devices and Audio tab” like the directions say.
